In the great expanse of desert, there lied a barely paved road that led to capital of this dry and scorching continent, a city luxurious and bustling. If one was to come unto this path however for whatever reason, and tread far enough, they would come across a wounded figure stumbling. Kiba barely had energy to even walk, let alone fly. It was his mistake though for having decided to pick a fight with that dinosaur. Kiba was not used to some of he creatures that lived here. Anyhow, he was now both parched and wounded. It was a rough terrain, and Kiba had not a clue where to go from here. Kiba did eat the dinosaur meat and so was fed, but as far as quenching his thirst went, he was quite helpless.
It did not help that everywhere that the demon went he started all out brawls with the locals. Kiba truly was at his wits' end. It felt like every week he was on the verge of dying of thirst within this unforgiving desert. Kiba had lost where that girl he met from before had went, and now he was at the mercy of this desert. Underneath the blistering heat of the cruel sun, his vision was to begin to get hazy. Ah, well, so his time must be coming? Kiba were to begin to collapse over, his body about to hit the desert ground. Kiba had underestimate this realm of man. It was far more grueling than he once had thought before. Kiba must grow stronger than he was now, so he could better face the harsh challenges of this land. Yet, like this, he couldn't do anything..

The West City... Ayu was afraid to visit this place. Ever since the attack, she wondered what would welcome her if she would walk through the entrance - ashes? Ruins? People's pain..? Her heart was clutched in uneasiness whenever she was thinking about it. The main goal was to train, that's why she was here, almost on the opposite side of the planet... To check if her abilities would thrive under the scorching sun of the desert, and that's what she told Liari. But as she was on her way here, another idea sprouted on the back of her head. East City University proved disappointing when it came to looking for any information about her little sibling's headaches and visions... Perhaps she could look for a clue in another place? West City should have more than enough places to check. Seemed reasonable enough, but Ayu, well... She got lost on her way there. Almost. It couldn't count as being lost if she was aware of where the City was, and without using a map too. The sea of energies in the distance told her that she was going in the right direction, but she was still wandering between the hills of the red sand, walking on an ancient road.
Simply, she wasn't lost, the trip was long and not an easy one. The harsh, wind-swept surface of the desert was nothing like Ayu ever imagined... But she enjoyed her brief conversation with cactuses and scarce plants that she found in this sandy land. Pondering about the manner of things around here, with every step she was shortening the distance between her and the West City.
Then there was something she felt. The young woman stopped abruptly, trying to focus on the weakened presence that brushed against her sixth sense. Energy numbed with pain... The desert wasn't as empty as one would suspect, but this Ki felt too strong to be one of a wild animal or exotic piece of flora. A passerby? Ayu hastened her steps, passed another desert hill, and that's when she saw - a person heavily falling to the ground. Without wasting any second she ran, stopping next to the tall silhouette. Oh no... The view presented wasn't something that Ayu wanted to see, her throat tied into a knot with worry. How could someone beaten up to this point just wandered alone into the desert..? She dropped her bag to the ground and knelt on a heated road. The man was already in rough shape, so to not cause him any more pain, Ayu carefully placed her arm under his back. His breathing seemed stable enough... Supporting his head with the palm of her hand, she glanced at his face. Both his energy and appearance felt very different from anyone Ayu has ever met before, but there was no time to get into a pensive mood.
"It will be okay..." she whispered in a soft voice, mainly reassuring herself. What could she do now..? Concern filled her eyes when she saw the extent of the injuries present. Wounds that both resembled cut and bite marks, some of them looked like they were about to fester. Scorching heat and omnipresent sand didn't help either... Some spots were older like they started to heal some time ago, while others couldn't be older than a day. She could feel that he was burning up from the long exposure to the sun, or was that caused by his wounds? Anyway, the dry skin on his lips to the list of concerns added dehydration. Water. He needed water first. "Can you hear me..?" Ayu asked gently, brushing his hair away from the stranger's face. With one hand she opened her bag, fishing for a glass bottle of water and after a short fight with the cap, she opened it. There was no other way than to carefully lift his head and let him drink slowly, watching over every sip.

In the depths of his memories laid a particular fragment of his past that was to come back to him as the cruel sun blared down upon him. Kiba was perhaps the only child of his hometown that had the guts to press the high demon authority of the land which ruled with an iron fist. It was for that very reason that the demon had gone on to lead a gang of demons within hell, a band of men and women that brought chaos wherever they decided to go. However, no more was Kiba able to continue that. It was a mere piece of his past now. It was now for Kiba to find more purpose. Yet, the demon had not a clue of where to go from here, nor what to do now. If he had to claim one dream, then that would be to one day return to hell, just to start utter pandemonium, so he can claim the throne of the devils. Kiba simply wished to enact his vengeance on the noble class of demons of hell, and bring about chaos.
Under the dark purple shadow that was the sky, the sable devil crows flew past the face of the child Kiba, a boy who had yet to receive a bounty from the lords. It was at that time though that he had first had begun to piss off the local authorities, being chastised often for his chaotic tendencies. Kiba, angry at the noblemen treating him and other lower demons as inferior, he had enough, and decided to sock a noble son of hell with all his might as he came by on the street. It was lucky for Kiba that he was quick on his feet, cause once he had smacked the noble, his head was on the chopping block. In no time, the elite guardian soldiers of the noble were scouting the area for who had laid their hand on him. However, due to Kiba's face being seen when he hit the noble, the rebel child was forced to run off, and escape town.
If he was ever seen again there, he could have been ordered for death. It was that grave offense that earned him his first official bounty as a child. In the days that had followed though after that crime he had committed, the demon would be continuously on the run, trying to evade the lords' numerous henchmen. In nothing but his rags and a dark brown cloak, the demon had begun to wander the wastelands of hell, trying to live off the scraps that he stole from food stalls. It was one day during that time, Kiba, out of scraps, and water, were to simply fall over. An unconscious demon child laying on the side of the dirt road, nobody were to bat even one eye, for devils dying to the cruel realm of hell was nothing new.
However, the demon were to still, none the less, experience what kindness and benevolence tasted like. In the sweltering heat, the boy was to be rescued, by a traveling woman that had been wandering the dark realm of hell. How could this be? It was quite rare to be treated nicely by strangers, so, the child Kiba was utterly bewildered. Yet, the woman wanted nothing else from the boy but his solemn promise that he would grow stronger and be able to fend for himself. Kiba now nourished by the woman and her kind gesture to offer him food and water, he was to embark once more on his journey, to rebel against hell. It went so well for the demon after that, but, now, Kiba was once again starting from zero.
In his ears, he heard a soft whisper of what felt like an angel carrying his lost soul to heaven. A question was posed to the hallucinating Kiba, inquiring whether or not he can hear the voice of the angel. In response to that question, the demon was to lightly nod, just barely capable of doing that. It was then that, suddenly, paradise was to touch his dried chapped lips, the sweet water of the kind soul that had found him. Kiba was to try to open his eyes, trying to not go down just yet. Before him, the visage of an angel was to take form, a woman green, and her face of concern perhaps just a bit cute. Anyhow, Kiba was to try to lift his hand, leaning closer to the sweet woman for a moment, his soft, but deep voice whispering gently within her ear.
Kiba: "Mm, I hear you alright.."
A partly recouped demon were to say, his vascular hand softly touching the shoulder of the woman. It was then that he was to try to stand, his toned muscle bound body feeling better by the mere quenching of his thirst. A wild untamed beast, Kiba was to rise up on his own two feet, not yet recovered to the extent he wished, but none the less up. A deep exhale was to escape his rehydrated lips. Kiba was to wave his wild untamed hair, trying to regain full consciousness within this blistering unforgiving heat. In the face of the angel, Kiba was to stretch, his eyes retrieving their dark stare from before he started to fall over. If the woman kept her eyes on him, the demon was to remake eye contact with her, before then, whispering back within her ear once more, with the gentlest hum to his voice.
Kiba: "I appreciate that very much, dear. I am Kiba."
Said the demon, before then reeling back his lips from her ear. In the moment that ensued though, Kiba was to realize his actions with the woman. A bit shy from that, he was to cut eye contact. Anyhow, he felt now he ought to explain why he fell over within the middle of nowhere, huh? Kiba was to scratch his cheek, perhaps just a tad nervous on how to describe to the woman how he got here.
Kiba: "Oh, so.. ah~, I uh.. I got lost.. to be frank, I have no clue where I am.. I was exiled from hell, and since, I been just wandering this wasteland, yknow? Eheh.."
It was quite the dumb story, but yknow, Kiba had nothin else to exactly say. Anyhow, the demon said all this meanwhile he was still bleeding from part of his bite and cut wounds, paying no mind to them.

Desert was a threat on its own. With the scorching sun pouring heat from above and red sands soaked in blasting rays from below, the ground was easy to burn the skin of anyone careless enough to touch it. No one would dare to venture here without a reserve of water, proper clothing, and shade... Was the man she tried to talk to suffering from a heat stroke? Ayu gently placed her fingers against his forehead. He didn't look prepared to roam around those parts of the Earth - neither did she, but despite her lack of ability to fly, Ayu could easily create a shelter. But this person was in a poor state, with marks on his body tinting her clothes with red... Sips of water disappeared quickly, quenching thirst, and the barely parted eyelids hid a dark gaze that eyed her weakly. Ayu breathed with relief, seeing how the young man moved, conscious, and mostly aware of what was happening. Her expression softened when a stone fell from her chest. She should make sure he'd drink more water, and take care of those injuries while she's at it... So she thought, yet she wasn't ready to hear his voice like that.
She nodded involuntarily after the young man's answer, yet some uneasiness started to emerge. It wasn't anything close to suspicion as to why a lost soul was strayed here among the scorching sands, or why was his energy feeling so dark... No. He was simply too close. Ayu knelt next to the man and lifted his head to help him drink out of her own accord, her motivation to help him - but now when he moved his head, his breath tickling her ear, hair brushing against her neck... T-that was too much. She shivered, mildly startled by this gesture. Bashfulness stroked her cheeks and painted them in a dark rose color, almost to the tip of her ears. A pair of pale yellow eyes slipped away, avoiding looking at the man as the flush appeared. Funny how quickly concern started to mix with nervousness. Out of worry for another person, Ayu was swift to forget about her shy nature, and when the first anxieties calmed down awkwardness started to shine through. Maybe she expected him to move away right after he quenched his thirst... Instead, it led to a gentle whisper. A certain note in his voice made it sound like he was humming, but that still was way, way too close to her liking - yet she dared not to move away from an injured person.
Her gaze turned back quickly to him when she realized that he was trying to get up. So soon..? But his injuries... The young woman placed the bottle on the ground, looking back at him uncertain if that was a good idea.
"Wait, n-no..." Ayu protested softly, pulling herself up too, with her hand still on his back, afraid that he'd slip away to the ground again if she'd take a step back. "P-Please, careful n-now, you're in no state to move just y-yet..." she said with a concerned voice but he stood up on his own, with more confidence than she suspected. Was it the same person that a moment ago has fallen to the ground..? Ayu blinked, watching him in silence for a while. He stretched and shook his head as if he has just woken up from a nap, not from a case of being very close to losing conciseness. That kind of endurance wasn't something to take lightly... And something poked her memory just now. Maycair did mention that she was a Saiyan and demon hybrid last time she met her, and she, Zerori, and Athren shared this peculiar sensation in their Ki - but here, for the first time in her life, Ayu could feel how the raw energy of demon felt like. But was that suspicion right? She stroked her cheek while pondering about it, yet it still didn't change the fact that she couldn't help but be worried about his well-being. "Will you be a-alright..?" she asked gently and moved away her hand, placing her above her chest. Worried she carefully looked at him, well, until the black eyes gazed back... And another whisper brushed against her ear.
Ayu could only nod again after hearing his gratitude, forcing her every muscle to not jump from abashment. Her face was getting so blushed that the original shade of powder green almost disappeared from her cheeks. Her head tilted to the side, and she averted the pair of black eyes, flushed again to the point of being speechless. Part of her wanted to turn away, but she couldn't just brush aside his injuries so easily... Normally, Ayu would drag a shawl over her face but in this weather, it was an unnecessary outfit accessory. Instead, her hand brushed against her braid, she pulled her hair closer over her shoulder and hid her mouth and cheeks behind thick green locks. She hasn't felt so bashful since Callion saw her stuck on the bamboo or Zerori suggested that she was Athren's partner... For what reason were all those situations happening to her..? Her face was an open book. Who was she kidding - those were completely normal events, it was only her easily embarrassed self suffering from anxiety and soft heart. She breathed slowly, gathering the confidence to speak up again, while the demon's gaze turned away.
"Ayu," a shy murmur replied to his introduction from behind the braid, cheeks still rosy and hands slightly fidgeting. "I-I'm Ayu. And this place is called D-Diablo Desert and lies in the Western Continent... Actually, you're not that f-far from the city." She pointed in the direction on their left, where she felt the gathering of energies. Ayu let go of her braid, her eyes now betraying the compassion she felt towards Kiba's story. And hell... If he truly was a demon it might have been literal hell - or maybe he escaped a place akin to perdition and was now lost in a foreign area? Would that be even the right term to say if he was chased away from that place..? "I'm sorry to hear that. It m-must have been hard for you..." she lowered her voice. There were so many questions, but Ayu dared not to ask. Anyway, looking at his weakened state and the clearness of his energy, she knew that he wasn't lying. She dared not to think what could have happened if he would stay here alone, at the mercy of the cruel desert any longer. He was hurt enough. And speaking about that...
Her hand opened her bag as she felt around a moment to count all the things she needed and never left home without. Since she had this kind of luck of running into injured animals and people, she always had a supply of bandages and ointments on her. Kiba was looking awful... She didn't mean at all the wild, untamed aura that his hair and sharp eyes created - the wounds made by claws and fangs that marked his chest was now dirtied by sand and scorched by the sun. Perhaps he was able to withstand the pain easily and it wasn't of any danger to his demon biology... But Ayu was far from taking any chances.
"I... W-Well..." She stuttered again shyly before shaking her head. The young woman needed to focus and took a deep breath with a hand placed over her heart. Her composure was far from ideal, but she was able to look at Kiba again and show him a gentle albeit hesitant smile. "I-It might not be much, but please let me take a look at your injuries." She stroked her cheek with her pointing finger in a timid manner. "I have supplies, I can dress your wounds if you would allow me..?" Joining her hands together, Ayu lowered her gaze, adding with a quiet, softer tone. "I-I wouldn't want you to leave in that state."
